reposted on 1st May 2008

Middle East Pool & Spa Exhibition 2008, the regions only specialist Pool & Spa show, closed its doors with record business completed over the three days. 176 exhibitors from 23 countries conducted business with leading companies from around the world.

“Middle East Pool & Spa Exhibition, in only its third edition, has established itself as the most important international show for pools, spas, products and services. This year the show was much larger than 2006, with additional countries represented from, Spain, USA, Canada and Malaysia to mention a few.  Business was conducted from the first day and major deals completed by the third day,” Said Amanda Westerman Director Middle East Pool & Spa Exhibition. “Feed back from first time exhibitors indicates they have met many new clients,” said Westerman “This proves that there are so many products and services on offer underlining Middle East Pool & Spa’s position as the region’s most comprehensive event, covering all segments of the industry.”

"The geographic catchment of the event demonstrates a particularly healthy turnout from the GCC, the Middle East, with Iran and Indian subcontinent among the top visitor groups. The turnout from Europe has been particularly strong from the UK, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. We’ve even seen visitors from as far away as Australia.” Attendees had the perfect opportunity to see thousands of product lines under one roof, many never seen before in the region and meet first-time exhibitor representatives from, France, Hong Kong, Indonesia, and Malaysia. In addition to the country pavilions from Germany, France, and the UK, this year's show also welcomed the country pavilion debut of Spain, who are looking to return in 2010.

“This year, as usual, was an excellent show. We have never before signed a contract at a show, on our stand, we did this at Middle East Pool & Spa and this is just the tip of the iceberg as we are still in talks with the many quality visitors that came to our stand. We still have several leads to follow up and each one is an extraordinary business opportunity to explore,” said Mr. John Monaghan, Dryden Aqua, UK, “also, on our first day, we met potential customers who are looking to create long term working relationships with us. We are looking forward to coming back in 2010.” Mr. John Monaghan.
Ms. Linda Gabriel of Horner Express from the USA stated “This is our 3rd time exhibiting and this show is certainly our best.  The quality of the visitors is very high”.
The show proved once again to be a great place to write orders with the majority of the exhibitors already planning to return in 2010.
Final audited results from the show are being processed and a detailed breakdown of 2008 statistics will be published shortly with the results from the numerous on-site exhibitor and visitor surveys.
